About
Sudi, originally from Kunming, China, centers her artistic practice on relief woodblock printmaking. Sudi’s artworks focus on monster creations influenced by different cultures, religions, and traditions that she grew up with and around. The monsters are the symbolic representations of the cultural narratives that have woven themselves into her identity. Sudi was a resident artist at Western New York Book Art Center 2022, and received her bachelor's degree in Biology and Visual Art at SUNY Fredonia in 2021.Her work also includes Suminagashi, book art, and zine publications.
